Thommo's is a great guy, realistic, no bulldust. Tells you straight. Not dearer than anyone else in town, possibly somewhat cheaper but by no means a cheapskate. Does the best job with the best parts and oils

We had our Subaru Forester timing belt changed at Thommos in 2013 and when my wife went for her antentatal check up at 39 weeks with our other son in the car in Lismore the car broke down. We had to call road side assistance which we had no membership with and had to create one which cost us money we didn't have at the time. The car was towed back to Thommos as the timing belt had snapped and turns out wasn't installed properly. Thommo agreed to replace the timing belt but no more than that. After that there was a tick noise in the engine which we approached the boys at the mechanics about but no responsibility was taken, and basically said something like "oh well mate, you pretty much need a new engine, but we're not accountable for that" and in a small town where we were the newbies on the block that was the end of that. The ticking noise eventually got worse and worse and then smoke came out of the engine, it was clear that the car was basically a write off. After that my wife spent a whole year with no car with two small children pushing them around in a pram and catching public transport everywhere, by then we lived in the mountains and pushing two kids up hill was not an easy task. Now she drives a 1993 corolla in replacement if I'm Subaru - so thanks for the service!
Great team and always efficient. They have always dropped us off to work when getting services done. Very trustworthy and always honest about our cars and any issues they may have. We have saved thousands of dollars getting our cars serviced here. Also got our rust proofing system installed here.
