0 stars. I've had two poor experiences with unprofessional Lois Buckett agency, both as a property owner and organizing a holiday let for family. Won't go in to too much detail. Best avoid, if you can. Shady practices.
If I could give 0 stars I would. We were guzumped on a house with no communication. We wanted to use an independent building inspector however they only wanted us to use the company the chose. This is against the law and also we paid for a report for nothing.
We didn't have a great holiday experience based on our families sole holiday stay at one of the lovely properties they represent. Starting with more being charged to my card than appeared on their billing paperwork - taking weeks of following up to get right. The bins were full and had been so for some time on our arrival. We were greeted by stench and maggots. On check-out, I provided balanced feedback understating the bins. In return, we received a $150 fee to clean the small webber BBQ and to re-clean things like a bowl and a plate that the dishwasher had failed on. No acknowledgement of the bins or any other complaint. The fallback being some vague terms and conditions and some low res photos that didn't match the description.On attempting to receive a tax invoice and an explanation AFTER the fee had already been taken, I could only describe the reply offered by staff as unprofessional. A lovely part of the world. A shame that this agency is lacking in transparency and ethics and hasn't adapted well to providing short stay holiday letting.
Lois Buckett is the agent for the wonderful holiday house we rented in Lennox Head, NSW. We were very impressed with their communications and professionalism and all aspects of our dealings with them. Even when we managed to lock ourselves out of the rental property on a Sunday morning they promptly came round with a spare key and let us in without any fuss and surprisingly, free of charge. It was such a relief to regain access to the house so far outside of business hours and we expected a hefty charge. So we were very pleased with such great service.
