Great place to spend time with the kids and awesome artifacts and memorabilia.
Run by volunteers. Needs a much bigger warehouse. Also needs more local craft content in the trinket souvenir store. Interesting balsa wood raft that came across the Pacific Ocean from South America.
The store/displays are pretty good. Only being relatively small the displays are limited but is well worth the visit. The staff in the store were very helpful and knowledgeable.
If you're at all interested in maritime, naval, or local history this is a must see. They have an impressive collection of models and artifacts on display. Much bigger than we expected. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Definitely a hidden gem in Ballina and well worth a visit. Loads of interesting information and artifacts. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly also.
